Will the metal clips on the "hair u wear" hair extensions set of the metal detectors in an airport...We are flying out of Atlanta next week, and I really don't want the alarm to go off and have to take my extensions out???

probably not i really dont think they would have made them if it were that easy to detect ya kno? i had them once and going in and out of stores and buisnesses and stuff wasnt hard but im not sure about the ones at an airport. but my best guess is no its kinda like decorations on underwear. they wouldnt have put them there if they were going to go off at such an occasion ya feel me?Hope i helped good luck!

I doubt hair clips would set anything off...but even if it did, it's pretty easy to show them you have clips in your hair that you "can't" take out.

it all depends on the sensitivity of the detector. You should be fine. if it beeps they'll scan you and if it's not something large it's obviously n ot a weapon, especially if it's in your hair.

if it sets it off, just tell them you have a metal plate in your head. they will let you through.

I am flying out of Detroit tomorrow with clip-in extensions. I hope to God it does not set off the sensors or worse yet - being told to take them out! I'll never get them back in looking as good as they do now. If I remember, I will come back here and share the results. Detroit to Boston then back.
