since my hair is so dang poofy and thick i always end up putting it in a ponytail or clip!

and its sooo boring!i've had it thinned and all but it still

gets bleh..!

my hair is naturally kinky wavy.

i hate it.i spend forever straightening it!

see!bad!and it looks horrible parted down the middle so i always put it to the left or to the right.

do you have any suggestions on a haircut maybe?

I would go to the hair salon, and get it thinned. It looks too thick to manage. Than get a deep cleansing conditioner.

use more conditioner. and get Paul Mitchel super skinny serum, or a straightening product. it really makes your hair smooth and thin.

Why not get it chemically straightened? It stays straight for about 3-6 months!

If you don't like your part, part it different and use some bed head serum to lock it in place.

well if you really hate it that much i would say just get up early to straighten it or style it how you want but if you have the money you can get a perm that straightens you hair instead of making it curly

you call that poofy??! talk about my hair being a curly jungle! well instead of using a flat iron to straiten it you could just blow dry it strait-plus its more faster that way. or you could just get a perm or get the salon to PERMANANTLEY straiten it.

you could ask your stylist for layers. Layers make your hair thin.

Or since you have naturally wavey hair you could srunch it.

Get some mousse and scrunch it in your hair.

or curling it with a curling wand cause your hair is so thick it would look really good curly.

if you got more short layers it would defiantly be thiner but you would have to get heaps. If you got some h highlights through it like blonde it wouldn't look so bad and if you hate straightening your hair maybe your straightener doesn't work well because i straighten my friends hair and she has hair like yours and it dosnt take long a all because she has one of the professional ones and it makes her hair thinner when i do it .

try geting a haircut in layers, maybe. Try to put some gel on it or biosilk. It makes it less poofy. Straightning hair by yourself takes long but if you do to the salon they do it really nice and your hair will look thin and controlled.

OK.....First off I tell this to anyone who sits in my chair.....We hairdressers thin out little old ladies and ladies in general who have thin hair...WHY? Because when you thin out hair you make the shorter hairs help the longer hairs stand up and out giving the hair an illusion of volume....so why would a smart hairdresser thin out some one complaining about bulk and poof in their hair?

It gives what I refer to as BOZO HAIR!

OK that said....I think you would look great in a really short in the back bob, and long, past the chin towards the front....make sure when your cut you are cut with a center part so you can flip from side to side....make sure you tell the stylist you part differently from time to time.....

Your hair is beautiful. If you want something low maintenance and a natural look, I would suggest short hair. Every one I know with very curly hair keeps it short. Wash it and go!! A great conditioner for very curly hair is Nexxus Humectress. Use it on wet or dry hair. Used to be only sold in salons, but Walmart and Walgreens sell it now too.

If your hair is too thick, go to the salon and ask to have it thinned out. They have special scissors that can thin your hair without taking off any length. Then, try to find a cute cut that you like and go from there. With your hair being so thick, cutting it shorter may make it more poofy unless you thin it out. An inverted bob would look cute, so long as it's thinned out first.

do not get a bobcut-grow your hair out because your hair will be a frizz ball not a bob......put conditioner it everyday.
