Should I use color clip ins or dye my hair?

So I'm pretty sure I want to have a red streak type thing on the bottom layer of my hair (like one big lowlight or something). My question is whether you think it's better to get a clip in like these (http://hairextensions.com/product.php?pr... or whether it's better to get it (professionally) dyed.

When it comes to red, you'd be better off getting the extensions. When you dye hair red, it looks great at first but it fades really quickly, so for streaks that are a great red color all the time, the extensions would be much better.

maybe you should get the clip in first and try it to see if you really like it before you get it dyed. red isnt the hardest dye to get out, black is. if you didnt like it the red would probably fade, it usually does. it mostly depends on what your hair color is now. if you have dark hair it would be easier to dye back if you didnt like it. but it would work with blonde hair too. its not a really big change so i say go ahead and do it.
