This is what I do (rollers are painful to sleep on and I don't like curling iron because it damages my hair and makes it frizzy). I wash my hair the night before and let it dry for a while. Then, while still SLIGHTLY wet, I put hair gel in it (Garnier Fructis for curls in Strong). I put enough gel to be evenly distributed all over but not too much. Then I braid my hair into a really tight braid. Blowdry a little if you think it's too wet or if your hair is thick. Go to sleep like that. Next morning, undo your braid carefully, and separate your hair out a little and it will be perfectly curly and cute. If it's too tight, spray in some of one of those hair shine enhancing products.

You can do pin curls, or for very curly braided pin curls. Break out your bobby pins or flat clips, wash and condition your hair. Apply a mousse or gel to a section at the back of the crown. Take a section of that section as big as you want the end result curl to be (1/2 to 1inch) and place one finger near the scalp at the base of that section and with the other hand wind the hair around the stationary finger. (Start at the top of the crown so that you can get to the next lower section when the top hair is out of the way in the pin) Pin the curl down with the bobby pin or the flat clip. Try to stagger the sections so you don't end up with big gaps when undone. If your hair dries during this process spritz with water, and use mousse or gel on each section as you get to it. Top front to back bottom. Leave in the curlers either all day (shyeah) or over night ( a little uncomfortable but better than walking around all day with pin curls) and undo. Finger comb and arrange, or lightly comb but easy does it. Also only lightly spray but underneath and on top then lightly scrunch. Should last all day or all evening, but is subject to the Cinderella effect.

For tighter curls all over your head:

Dampen or shampoo hair.

Divide hair into quarter sections

Grab about a 1/4" section of hair w/ your comb

Wrap that section around %26amp; around your index

finger until it forms a tight coil

Put 1 hairpin diagonally this way / %26amp; another

diagonally the other way \ to hold it in place

Leave hairpins in until hair is dry.

The longer its curled the tighter the curl.

For longer, less tight curls:

Start with hair just being damp, not wet

Take larger sections of hair to curl around finger

Use larger hairpins or clips to hold larger coils

in place

Check after 15 minutes to see if curl is tight

enough for your needs. If not, re-curl.

For REALLY loose curls or waves:

Do same as above for loose curls - except

instead of twirling hair around your finger

twirl it around the cardboard core from a

roll of toilet paper or paper towels. (NOTE:

you can cut the cardboard core into smaller

sections if you need more to use.)

1.....try putting your hair into plaits when DAMPISH, not wet it never drys. spray with aiirspray finely then undo, DON'T BRUSH. detangle with your fingers instead.

put a bobby pin through the end of a 2-2.5cm section of hair, roll it up around your finger then gather the hair at one point in the spiral around your finger clip it to your head and spray with hairspray. do other curls while waitng to dry then take pin out and gently set the curl down.
