If you are putting Gels in it to keep it from frizzing try some frizz ease. Pull the sides back and leave the rest down. pull some strands of hair down in the front and you'll look BEAUTIFUL.

I would recommend looking at a biracial hair book or seeing a hair stylist who knows how to do your type of hair.

You didn't mention your age. If you are at least 18, I would suggest a cute cut. You have the kind of hair, that if you don't like it short, it grow back very fast.

My daughter has the kind of hair you described. We are African American but my father was mixed and her dad has a wavey grade of hair (Pueto Rican is in his background).

She, imparticular (at the age of 4, her hair was middle ways her back) took on the more wavey and curlier type of hair than her siblings (one brother has wavey hair that lays down flat with waves). Other brother, has hair to his shoulders and he in the process of transitioning to dreadlocks. His locks are going to be so gorgeous when they mature. (oh, different subject, sorry) :D

Anyway, as my daughter got older, she started to get her hair cut in styles and it was always cute. ( She is now 26) I used to cut my hair in styles a lot also. (I am also wearing locks in my hair now). My older daughter has a softer but thicker grade of hair and she enjoys her length.

Look in magazines (hair), ask around for a really good hair stylist. Usually men are really good at doing women's hair. Find yourself a sassy cut that would fit your face and go for it!!

After a while, especially if you are grown, the ponytail thing gets boring. You could try adding some color to hair for a change also with or without cutting.

If are the type of person who cannot imagine getting a cut, then try to wear it in a curlier %26amp; wavey style. Have stylist to wrap your hair in rods and wear it in the 'shirley temple curls' that just hang down, you know like 'curley Q's' or ringlets !!

Hope this helps!!
