If you go somewhere like great clips to get your hair cut, and the lady that cut it TOTALLY screwes it up, and it looks really bad, and theres really no way to fix it because its already uneven and short, should you pay???

Most 'bargain' styling salons have policies that allow the customer to return for alterations. Speak to the manager and let her know that you are not happy with the hair cut. Ask that a different stylist address the issues with the unevenness of the cut. Even if the cut is "short" it can look good if it is completed correctly.
