How often should I trim my hair. I got a really short buzzcut, #1 all over a few days ago and it already seems out of place, how often should i clip it to keep it looking fresh?

I couldn't afford to have short hair! I had to go every month and a half. I had a 1" to 1 1/2" hair style...I loved it. The guy who cut it gave me freebies because I reccomended so many people to him. Now my hair is long and I only cut it about 4 times a year.

Use some fun product and swish it off in different directions to funk it up between cuts. Have fun with it!

it all depends on how fast your hair grows. i would say 2-3 week and make sure they go over it a few times clippers miss hair. if the stylist doesn't ask them to, remember its your haircut and you have to wear it.

oK so i have almond eyes matching to my dark brown hair with bangs which is naturaly straight . My hair lenght is about below my shoulders . What i usually go to skool is this hairstyle : bangs down and and a ponytail with a matching ribbon and outfit or clips. Sometimes i use my hair with a bun and bangs down again. What can i do to improve my hairstyle and makeup. The makeup i usually use is a bit of brown mascara , eyeliner, and lipgloss. My face is like this, almond brown eyes {sometimes look green}, a bit of cheekbones, regular nose, long lashes, and ciara lips.

I would like to take an old vintage jeweled brooch/ pin and turn it into a hair barrette. Use wire cutters or pliers to remove the clasp. If you have a Dremmel, smooth the area off. A beading store or an arts and crafts store should have the barrette backing you need.

It took me years to figure it out, but I have finally found a way to make my naturally curly hair look great!!

Here are the steps to take to get nonfrizzy curly hair:

1. ALWAYS use a conditioner...any of the Pantene conditioners work well.

2. After combing out your hair with a wide-toothed comb use hair gel (LA Looks #8 in the green bottle). After applying the gel, comb it out again. Then, dry your hair a little by scrunching it in a towel.

3. Use a difusser and blow dry your hair completely. I just turn my head downwards and let all of my hair rest in the top of the diffuser. By doing this, it gets scrunched by itself and I don't have to keep scrunching it with my hands.

4. After your hair has dried, use the wide-toothed comb to kind of fluff your hair (don't comb through it after it has dried because it will become mega frizzed!)

5. Apply another coat of LA Looks gel (THIS IS ESSENTIAL) without the extra coat of gel your hair will become frizzy :-%26gt;

These are the steps that I take...believe it or not I usually wash my hair at night and as long as I follow these steps and remember to put that extra layer of gel on my hair after it dries, my hair fixes very easily in the morning. I don't have white flakes and my hair doesn't get hard unless I don't wash it for a couple of days in a row. I also don't have the "wet look"

Hairstyles:

When I want a change I wear a thin headband on my head. You can find all sorts of colors at Claires for about $3.

Make sure that you don't slick your hair down with the headband. The sides of your bangs should be left down in tendrils.

Oh, how I feel your pain. What I've recently found to work best for me is to use an anti-frizz product, rather than a gel or mousse in order to avoid that "caught in the rain" look. I then use a flat iron to straighten my side bangs. Sometimes I close the straightener on sections of hair, not running it over the curls, just closing it, keeping it inplace for 2 seconds, and releasing. This gives more of a beachy-wave type look.

To know if your extensions are human hair or manufactured, look on the package or ask whoever put them in. If you can't actually FEEL a difference between your hair and the extension, chances are it's human, but there's only one way to tell for sure. Snip one of the hairs from the extensions and snip one of your own hairs and burn them. If the extension burns very differently, then it's a man-made fibre and undyeable.

However, if it's made of human hair, you can have them taken out and bleached, then dyed back to a tone of your choosing. I would first go for a shade a few levels lighter than black (which is what we call "level 1" in the business). Try a level 4G - any hairstylist will recognise that term. Contrary to popular belief, you can NOT use a hair colour to lift the level of your hair colour! You MUST bleach, then go over with a tint. For this reason, you may just want to buy new extensions and have them put in because extensions are a PAIN to bleach and dye and they get dry and split easily.

This sounds like a really cool project to have some beauty school students help you with. A beauty school is usually cheaper than a salon, and you're giving students a chance to get some experience. Have FUN with your hair. However, remember that super-black hair can look really dry and dull very easily, so condition it well or go for a slightly lighter tint that still looks really dark, but more natural and shiny. Why not buy differant colour extensions and add them into your other extensions? then there's no need to dye them.

Unless the extensions are 100% real hair you would have trouble dyeing them sucsessfully!

You shouldnt really die your hair extentions cos it will ruin them!

Just buy a couple of clip-in hi-light extentions which are basically small strips of hair the same length as your extentions and they are cheaper then having to buy whole new extentions. =]

Its just like having hi-lights!

i know some girl who did it like that and it looks ugly, trust me. your hair looks nice the way it is, if anything have you seen how they dye their hair half and half.. leave the top blk and half bottom blonde/brown.. that'sll look hot and sexyy. the vanessa hair style i really don't like because your could tell its fake.. just do it to your hair and make it look real..

Hey,

I'm really big on hair care, but I love exercise and a habit of mine has been to spend 10 to 20 minutes in the Sauna after a workout.

I was wondering if there's a way to keep my hair dry.

plastic cap, clip up, SOMETHING to keep me from having to blow my hair dry and flat iron it every other day when I work out.

maybe get some braids. Or try wrapping your hair. So when you leave, your hair can just airdry and you can take it down. Working out and our hair is difficult. My best remedy is braids. oh, I just thought of this,you could put your hair in a bun. So the edges are straight, and the back in wrapped up.
